My Work
In summer of 2021, I worked as a Social Media Director at Hood's Home Discount Center in Foley, AL. They are the largest supplier of cabinets, vanities, flooring, furniture, and decor on the Gulf Coast. I was given the responsibility to revamp their social media presence and increase consumer engagement. I shot and edited all photos and videos for their Facebook and Instagram accounts using iMovie and Canva.

This role not only taught me organization and time management skills but, it also taught me how important a company's digital voice is in today's world. Managing these profiles with more than 19,000 followers required me to pay attention to trends and customer feedback.

The best part about this job was hearing positive feedback about my work from co-workers and customers. I'll never forget the day a customer traveled from four states away to come shop just because of my photos.

Making these videos was my favorite part of the job. I wanted to step up our Facebook and Instagram feed and give our followers a greater experience.

My main goal was to create a cohesive and entertaining feed. Each post was planned out a month in advance to ensure I was highlighting each department and services we offered.

I posted daily Instagram and Facebook posts and stories. I also helped host monthly before and after photo contests where I picked the best home renovation photos for a cash prize and chance to be featured on out social medias.
